The Public Works Director oversees all operations and divisions of the public  works department with general direction of the City Manager. The public works  department consists of water, gas, sewer, sanitation and street divisions.
The City Manager currently oversees this department.  This department is responsible for the development and enforcement of state and local building codes and zoning ordinances. 
Mr. Bobby Counce serves as the City's Code Enforcement Officer.

The Fire Chief Command captain is responsible for direction of all employees and activities of the municipal fire department with general direction of the City Manager.  The Department's goal is to provide fire suppression and rescue services within the City and all contract service areas, as well as, promoting fire prevention through inspection and regulation of the fire code within the City of Perry and contract areas
The Finance Director supervises and coordinates various city-wide accounting and related fiscal activities.  The Director is also responsible for financial planning, budgeting, accounting, revenue administration, and billing and collection with general direction of the City Manager.  The City's purchasing division also falls under this department.
The City Attorney is appointed by the City Council and handles the City's legal affairs.
